Zydelig is a prescription medicine used to treat people with: • Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) in combination with rituximab when CLL comes back after prior cancer treatment and when rituximab treatment alone may be used due to other health problems.

How is Zydelig administered?

The recommended maximum starting dose of Zydelig is 150 mg administered orally twice daily. Zydelig can be taken with or without food. Tablets should be swallowed whole. Continue treatment until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity.

When to re-initiation of Zydelig in Grade 3?

If the event recurs, treatment with Zydelig must be withheld until the values return to Grade 1 or less, after which re-initiation at 100 mg twice daily may be considered at the discretion of the physician (see sections 4.4 and 4.8). Treatment with Zydelig must be withheld in the event of Grade 3 or 4 diarrhoea/colitis.

Side effects reported with Zydelig are carefully evaluated and any necessary action taken to protect patients. Zydelig received a marketing authorisation valid throughout the EU on 18 September 2014. This medicine is under additional monitoring, meaning that it is monitored even more intensively than other medicines.

Zydelig is indicated in combination with rituximab for the treatment of adult patients with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL): • who have received at least one prior therapy (see section 4.4), or • as first line treatment in the presence of 17p deletion or TP53 mutation in patients who are not eligible for any other therapies (see section 4.4).
