So my 2006 Silverado 4×4 5.3L with 170k miles ate the cam and destroyed the motor. As cam failure in the 5.3L’s is common I am thinking about replacing it with a 6.0L gas motor. Has anyone done this swap and if so what else is required to complete the swap. Thanks…

Can a 4L60 engine work with a 6.0 engine?
A stock 4L60 may not hold up long though depending on mods and driving habits. Yeah you need your original flywheel forgot about that. 6.0 flywheel doesnt mesh with the 4l60 What about PCM maps. Will the 5.3 PCM work with a 6.0 or do you need to change the PCM?
