Why is my instrument cluster not working in my car?
Why is my instrument cluster not working in my car?
Bought an aftermarket battery, dropped it in and the car starts fine. Radio, lights work and it runs fine. Problem is no instrument lighting, dead instruments, no computer illumination, and the turn signals aren’t working. I’ve read about registering the battery, but would my instrument cluster be out because I haven’t?
How much does it cost to replace an instrument cluster battery?
With their TREAT25 25% off online orders code the battery was only $125.58 with installation and all taxes and fees (very cheap  ). All good news until I went to pickup the car and the guy at the counter asked if my instrument cluster was working prior to bringing the car in !
Why is the gauge cluster on the dash?
Pulled the dash, unscrewed the cluster, left the two giant harnesses plugged in, unhooked the gear position needle and flipped that cluster up on the dash to have at it….bad move. My theories; either i broke a foil on the pcb by applying tension to the harnesses i left plugged in, or the burnt out bulbs were burntout for a reason.
Why is my Car Cluster not working on my 1994 Concorde?
I have a 1994 Chrysler Concorde 3.5 and my cluster isn’t working at all. when you crank the car the speedometer jumps just a tiny bit, but if you press the gas pedal the rpm gauge doesn’t move. Also when you drive the car, the speedometer and the rpm gauge doesn’t move. Everything light wise works.

What to do if your gauge cluster does not work?
Set the multimeter at dc 1-20v and keep the black wire touching the chassis while you probe the fuses with the red lead. Some fuses are post ACC on and some are pre. Having the schematics would help here. msvara wrote: Set the multimeter at dc 1-20v and keep the black wire touching the chassis while you probe the fuses with the red lead.
What does it mean when gauges in your car stop working?
But when the gauges in your car stop working, it’s not a situation you can safely ignore. When one gauge stops working, the problem may be in the gauge itself or a bad sensor, while all the gauges cutting out at the same time often indicates a blown fuse or a defective instrument cluster.
What happens if the instrument panel does not work on a car?
If it does, it is usually a system-wide fault, as opposed to a fault in just one instrument. However, a system-wide fault may be an easy fix, depending on where the signal is breaking up. By approaching the problem logically, you can pinpoint where the fault is occurring and correct the problem.
