Oboz footwear is currently sold in more than 1,500 stores around the world. The shoes are made in two factories in Vietnam and distributed from a warehouse in California, leaving the Bozeman office to handle everything from sales and marketing to customer service.

Some Oboz shoes do run narrower than others, but we do not offer narrow width footwear. We always recommend visiting your local Oboz retailer to ensure the best fit. If this is not possible we do feel our products run true to size.

Are Oboz really waterproof?

All Oboz footwear has a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish on the outside leathers and textiles, which can benefit from occasional retreating. If the surface of your shoes is absorbing water, it’s time to re-waterproof. Please note that any treatment can darken or discolor the leather.

Roth has worked with Oboz co-founders John Connelly and Josh Fairchilds since 2001 and 2004, respectively, while the three were working for other footwear brands. During that time, the trio developed strong professional and personal relationships, which ultimately led them to launch Oboz.

Are OBOZ slippery?

Do you find this helpful? These shoes were very comfortable, but yes they are slippery on wet smooth surfaces. I now have mileage on the Oboz and they are my go to shoes for half day field trips.
