Is there steering wheel lock on Silverado Silverado?

Ok and now a more real answer the steering wheel locks via a mechanism in the steering column. It is a replaceable part, but a pain to do so. I don’t think that the 05 came with a steering wheel lock! I am pretty sure that they stopped putting them in sometime around 2002, my 05 yukon xl does not have one, either did my 02 silverado

Why does my GM steering wheel not lock?

SurrealOne has an 2004, maybe he can let us know if he has a steering wheel lock. GM stopped using them when they introduced Passlock 2. Why is my GM rear end not unlocking?

Which IMO is an indication GM knows the lube they use is inferior. GM sources the lowest cost bulk lubes they can. Just because GM makes or sells it does not mean its the best you can get. I cannot tell you if the noise/sensation you are getting is from the cheap GM gear lube or if there is a real problem.

Why is my Silverado G80 not unlocking at the rear?

Its possible its the lubricant is not working and things are binding on turns. Hard to say without actually driving it though. When you turn one rear wheel has to turn faster than the other and if there is any slippage the G80 could engage momentarily and then release causing a bump feel or noise.
