There is a spot in the BCM. You can use it for the trigger on your radio to switch to the camera, and power the camera from the back of the truck so you don’t have to run the wires the whole way to the back. On my 06, I think it is in the C3 connector of the BCM (middle on the right). IIRC is a green wire.

Re: Reverse wire for backup camera. Here you go. This is where you get power and the Reverse signal for the camera. It is called the MBEC and is located just to the left of the gas pedal. Pull the cover off to expose the wiring under it. Disregard my wiring and markings on the photo.

My truck is a 2013. Your truck and mine should both be the same for the MBEC box. The reverse wire in your tailights should be green. If going that route, you could tap into the reverse (green) wire on the back of the trailer light plug as well. Re: Reverse wire for backup camera.

What should I do about my reverse light?
Your best bet would be to remove the tail light and check the color of the power wire coming from the reverse light housing (Mine was green). All your tail light wires should tie into the plastic protective tubing that then goes under the truck.
How to use reverse light wire for camera?
Follow that plastic tubing and pick a spot to tie in your camera to your reverse light wire (using the correct color wire) Or if you want to do it the simple way, just splice into the reverse light power wire an inch off of the light housing instead of following the plastic tubing under the truck.
