A few months ago I started noticing a problem every once in a while when putting the truck in reverse in a parking lot to back out of a spot, it sometimes would stall out if I didn’t hit the gas quick enough after shifting into reverse. When this happened I could put the truck in park and it would immediately fire back up and seemed fine.
Is the 1990 Chevy k1500 5.7 stalling?
I have a 1990 K1500 pickup with the 5.7L engine that I use as a second vehicle and for hauling. It doesn’t get driven every day and usually it’s only used for short trips but now has a stalling problem that I need to figure out.
Why does my Silverado k1500 stall at traffic lights?
In neutral it will run indefinitely, although it gets a little rough. Pulling a vacuum line will raise the idle, but doesn’t help when you put it in gear. Pulling to a traffic light with the a/c on high, it will idle perfectly for a few seconds, then start gradually dropping, finally shudder and die after 15 -30 seconds.
Why does my GMC Sierra 1500 stall while in gear?
Motor wants to stall while in gear (but doesn’t do it out of gear once over 1000 rpm it dosent) seem to stall and it is only from a dead stop. Fuel filter has been replaced and TBI was rebuilt last April but it sort of used to do something like this when it was like 40 degrees or below. Could be torque converter lockup solenoid in the trans.

I have a ’97 k1500 with a 350 and 4l60e automatic. Assuming all things are OK with the truck, would a bad fuel pressure regulator cause it to have no power at low rpm’s?

I have been working on our 89 Chevy K1500 and am still having an idle issue. The truck idle drops and lopes and occasionally completely stalls. This usually happens when driving slow in town… backing out of parking space, letting off gas when coming to a stop sign or to park etc. It does fine to start and accelerate.

Stalls out while driving at low rpm , changed alternator, battery and 2brand new fuel pumps and still stalls , getting worse, before temp gets up it seems to run A ok ???? Please help !! My silverado idles extremely rough and stalls out when i press on the gas i can sometimes keep it running but barely does anyone know what it could be
