Where is the high beam icon on my Silverado 2500?
I am new to this forum and need help with a issue with my 2003 Silverado 2500. The high beam icon on the dash will light up when the truck is parked with the key out of the switch or in the switch??
When does the high beam indicator get power?
The indicator normally gets power when the switch sends power to the high beam (the indicator light is on the same circuit).
Why is my Stovebolt high beam indicator dim?
With your lights on dim the voltage is “looking” for a ground, it has found one through the filament of your indicator bulb. The risistance of the filament in the headlight beam drops the voltage to the indicator, hence the dim apperance of this lamp.
