For the past 16 years, ACC has run a Workplace Safety Management Practices (WSMP) discount programme which rewarded businesses who meet audit standards with reduced ACC levies. Over this time it has been established that just passing an audit does not necessarily lead to reduced workplace injuries.

What has replaced ACC Wsmp?

The replacement for WSMP is known as “Safety Star Rating Initiative” and a pilot is being run until June 2018. Safety Star rating is less documentation based and leans more towards behaviour management, continual improvement and management of risk.

International Certifications were approved to offer the ACC Workplace Safety Management Practices (WSMP Audit) Program, this was discontinued by NZ Government early 2017. We also offer ISO 45001, AS/NZS 4801 and OHSAS 18001 certification, please feel free to contact us.
