Why did Alton Towers get rid of the VR on Galactica?

The fitting of the devices onto guests’ heads caused longer queues for the ride. At its launch, Galactica was marketed as being the world’s first rollercoaster “dedicated to virtual reality”. Alton Towers said on Twitter that the decision to remove the VR headsets was taken in response to guest feedback.
