The turbo itself is fine, so it’ll still spin and allow air thru, just less of it…..and the vanes aren’t busted, so no worries about running shrapnel thru your motor. As long as the blower can spin and theire’s oil running thru it, then like everyone else is saying, you’ll just have less power.

My 2004.5 with 120k mi.fan clutch cycles very frequently also. Pulling a 8100 lb 5th wheel up a hill in the summer heat with a/c on. Temp gets to apx 235. Dash comes on and reads High coolant temp. It did it in 2019. I then replaced the fan clutch, waterpump and all coolant hoses.

I traced that wire back to the fuse panel under the hood on the driver’s side. There is a CRANK fuse as well as a starter relay in that panel.

When you turn the key to start, the fuse gets 12v but the starter relay is not getting voltage to the solenoid wire. Also noticed that the tow/haul button isn’t working and it was before the issue.
