To answer the question directly, No you may not join the dawnguard if your a vamp already. But once you finish all the side mission and main quest and you still want to become a vamp Lord, by all means go right ahead.
Can you become a vampire lord and side with the Dawnguard?
So, regardless of which side you choose, you can still become a Vampire Lord. The only difference is when along the questline you become one. So for those of you who actually wanted to join the Dawnguard but didn’t because they wanted to become a Vampire Lord, you can become one and still join the Dawnguard.

Yes, you can. In fact, I turned Isran into a vampire with the Better Vampires mod once. As for the Dawnguard turning hostile upon approaching them; the Better Vampires mod provides you with a spell called “mortals mask” which will prevent them from becoming hostile for a time.
