What is Varoma?

Varoma® is a special setting for steam cooking and steaming ingredients. You can adjust it on the display via the temperature selector. To Activate Varoma® just select the temperature dial on the Thermomix display and rotate the selector until the Temperature displayed changes to the word Varoma.

What temperature is Varoma?

114°C.
VAROMA temperature on your Thermomix is 114°C. If you want to steam anything you MUST use the Varoma temp and did you know that 114° is the lowest effective temperature to steam your food without destroying all the nutrients??

How do you line a Varoma dish?

Line the Varoma with parchment paper Parchment paper captures the juices and prevents them from mixing in with other ingredients in the mixing bowl. To perfectly line your Varoma, wet the parchment paper before placing it in the tray or dish.

What is the steaming temperature for Thermomix?

110C
If you don’t have a Thermomix, but rather a similar thermo cooker, then your machine may have a different name for it, but it is whatever temperature your machine is designed to steam on. If your machine doesn’t have a dedicated steaming function, use 110C. Need a bit more confidence with your machine?

What do you use your Thermomix for?

The Thermomix can cook, boil, simmer and stew; chop and mince meat, nuts, herbs and vegetables; blend; make yoghurt; mill rice, nuts and grains into flour; grind coffee, sugar and nuts; knead dough; whisk; grate; puree and crush. It can replace pretty much every kitchen gadget you own.

Where is the Varoma setting?

If you have a TM31, Varoma temperature has it’s own button (labelled ‘Varoma’). If you have one of the newer TMs, then your Varoma temperature will be the LAST option on your temperature dial – you will see the word ‘Varoma’ appear on the middle circle of your screen.

Can you fry in Thermomix?

Besides chopping, frying, kneading or steaming new Thermomix® TM6 can even fry 160° or slow cook – in total it unites more than 20 appliances in one. It does sous vide (vacuum cooking) and it ferments.

How do you start a Thermomix?

Turn on your Thermomix® TM6™ by pressing round silver selector knob. The start-up process begins automatically. During the start up process you will see a white screen with our Vorwerk logo in the middle of the screen.

How does the Thermomix work?

The Thermomix is basically the world’s most powerful blender that also cooks and stirs. You can use it to knead dough or mix batter. It comes with two steamer baskets, a small one that fits inside the blender bowl and a large one that perches on top.
