This pump is a direct fit replacement for the original on my 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD Duramax. It developed a whine almost as bad as the pump it replaced within minutes of first use. So although it fits great I can’t recommend using it. Per Amazon I was purchasing the last power steering pump in inventory and I was shipped a kids toy, see picture.

When I dropped the truck again I had no power steering or brakes even with the 3rd new pump. I went ahead and looked up exact bleeding process on alldata and it said to turn on the vehicle, press brakes 10-20 times, shut off, jack up, turn wheels 20 times, turn on and turn wheels 20 times again. I followed the process and I still have nothing!
