I bought the 05 GMC 5.3 with 130,000 in 2012. One year ago about 172,000 the tick started. until two weeks ago with 182,000 miles the Tick stopped but replaced with the CHIRP. So the tick stopped for now. A few YOU Tube vids on the chirp. So weird. A half bottle of SEAFOAM 6oz. added to eng ing oil.
How can I Make my Chevy truck stop ticking?
Added a full bottle of the Motor Medics motor flush, ran at idle for 5 minutes, then drained and changed my oil. It is now Tuesday night and i drive 70 miles a day to and from work, the truck sounds brand new! No more ticking at all!

Will turn key and it is like no power from battery to starter, but have lights, radio, etc. Turn key again or sometimes multiple times, to no avail. Then, turn it one more time and it starts. Then the next 15 starts, no problem. Sometimes hot engine, sometimes cold. UPDATE: 2-6-14; I sold the truck to my father. He changed the starter.

It’s not us. I bought my 2012 Texas edition Silverado August 4, 2012 the transmission started responding abnormal immediately after leaving the dealership it had 135 miles on it before I bought it I have 32K miles now and nothing has change all the same issues but they seem to be getting worst.

So you cracked on the return line. It should naturally drain. If the flow/pressure increased when the truck started that means that you are sucking fluid from the pan therefore the pump is working. That means that the problem is most likely in the valve body.
