What to do if your truck is stuck in 4low?
I helped a stuck neighbor this morning in the snow and now my truck is stuck in 4low. 2016 dcsb off road. The 4×4 light is not on but the 4low light is. it is for sure in 4lo is there any suggestions i have checked all the fuses i could find and bumped the shift module (thought is was frozen it was pretty dry) on the transfer case.
How did I get stuck in 4WD Low?
After rapping on the transfer case motor and pushing two high it finally kicked out and went into 2H. While in two high i was able to switch in between 2H and AWD. While in AWD i shut off engine. truck shook and it knock me back down into 4LO. Any ideas? Its the encoder motor sensor.

I have a 2003 Ford Sport trac it was stuck in 4×4 low Transam77 gave advice on here I put the truck in Neutral switched it to 2wd and put it in Reverse. IT WORKED. I can’t thank transam77 enough I was worried it would be an expensive fix but it is back to the original way. I will never put it in 4×4 low again. Thanks a million.
What causes a Silverado to get stuck in 4WD?
– no real action to cause problem, just driving paved side street 4WD came on, switch lights went out and then noticed in 4WD by feel of the drive. Checked fuses in the dash panel and under the hood, all were good. Checked for loose wiring, appeared/felt fine. Swapped out the switch for a known working, no change.

Why is my Ford Ranger stuck in 4 low?
Tory Hi my 2007 Ford Ranger is stuck in 4 low its auto and has switch but no light in showing at all in switch and tried the above but did not work not frozen tried backing it up and everything in neutral etc. It went into 4 low after it was in 4 wheel drive and parked and now no light in switch can anyone help??

Why is my Tahoe stuck in 4 low?
I had this problem about a year ago with my 06 Tahoe. When it was stuck in 4 low I would take out the fuse ( on left side of dash) for the four wheel drive and wait for a minute or so and it would reset itself. Had the switch replaced but that was not the problem. Took it to the dealer and it turned out to be an actuator.
