Why does my Chev Silverado have no sound?
No sound from speakers, but the radio is showing volume and station. Pop the hood and find the fuse that says “radio.” Pull it and flip it around the other direction and put it back in. There is also one that says “radio amp.”

Why does my Silverado radio have no sound?
Some wiring diagrams I look at show a factory amp. checked all the fuses, both under the hood and by the driver door. Nothing is blown. Sounds like a short in one the speakers, the radio will go in protection mode and no sound. would it go into protect mode for both the stock and aftermarket?
Why is my Radio not working in my truck?
One of the speaker wires in the door was grounding out and the radio went into protect mode. Get in the truck and be as quiet as you can and turn the key. Listen very close and if this is the problem you will hear a faint static noise from the problem speaker. Then you can fix the problem.
