When exiting highway coming up to a stop sign or stop light or just braking, the engine shuts off with no warning or sputtering, while still rolling with no warning. This usually happens when pulling a trailer. No power brakes or power steering.

What was the problem with my 2001 Yukon XL Denali?
I love my 2001 Yukon xl Denali with over 130,000 miles but having some starting problems. The initial problem was taking several tries to start, when after it seemed a clog was cleared and the engine banged loudly once it would clear and start and be ok for the rest of the day, but a little more difficult in colder weather.
Why does my GMC Yukon come out of first gear?
At 2,430 miles, while in the Sierras outside Yosemite at 2500 feet, the transmission heated up to almost 200 degrees (outside temp only 78), and it came out of gear again. This time it would not shift out of first gear until we let it sit overnight. Drove it back to the dealer. Now they are talking about putting in a new transmission.
