When do you get DEF system fault message?
After driving the truck for about 5 days, i got the dreaded “def system fault, in 50 miles your speed will be limited to 50mph”. This message appeared about 10 minutes after the chech engine light came on. The message went off on my way back to the dealer, even though the engine light stayed on.

How long should it take for Def to reset?
Yup just give it some time , my 13 after I fill my def takes a while to reset back to exhaust level: ok How long should it take to reset? Filled mine up yesterday and drove over 100 miles today and it’s still going down. Seems to me like sometimes it takes a few of start cycles/short trips. Make sure you shut it off when you add def.
