So I have a 2012 Duramax. The DEF fluid got low. It read 200 miles remaining. So I put more DEF fluid in. It held 1.5 gallons. Which is not enough to fill the tank on that. Still reads 200 miles remaining.
What was the problem with my GMC Duramax?
As noted in earlier posts, have had the entire DPF/DEF system replaced at 113k miles on my 2014 after having 3 aborted trips and same amount of revisits to the dealer $6.5K. Nothing under warrantee. Primary problem was DEF module was not properly injecting DEF fluid when going up hills .

How many miles till empty on LML Duramax Def?
Left out early for about a a 400 mile round trip. About 50 miles in a warning comes on saying I have about 400 miles till empty on DEF (no biggie, seen it before and plan on stopping midway and refill DEF).

Why is my 2012 LML Duramax Def blue?
Typically its an NOx or EGT sensor starting to go funny that will set the poor def quality message. It happened to both of ours. One is a 2011 2500HD and the other is a 2013 2500HD. a ton of codes, so a reprogram and DEF tanks for both. DEF is always new DEF Blue like everyone else uses.
