Why does my Honda CRV not start up?
Why does my Honda CRV not start up?
The timing chain (or belt) is responsible for keeping the upper valve train synced with the crankshaft. This is vital for spark timing. If the timing is off a little and the engine still runs, the timing belt may have skipped. If it has jumped too much the CR-V may not even fire.
Why does my Honda CRV stall when I let off gas?
A dirty throttle body can lead to stalling in your CR-V. If you let off of the gas coming to a stoplight and it stalls for a second or two and recovers itself, it very well could be a dirty throttle body that is causing the problem. Here’s a great YouTube video from EricTheCarGuy. on how to clean a throttle body.
How does a Honda CRV battery come to life?
The battery can be brought to life by starting aid, in which the battery receives a current pulse from the starter battery of another vehicle, which is enough to start the engine. Or by charging with a battery charger, which on the other hand takes a few hours. It is faster with a start booster.
How can I tell if my bike has no fuel?
You can test this via attempting to start the bike, then remove the spark plug. The plug should be wet with fuel, if it’s not, then no fuel is getting through. Most likely case is a clogged Pilot Jet and/or Passage. Blow both out with air. Also make sure plug is gapped correctly for a good spark, blue / purple in colour is what you’re looking for.
Why does my Honda CRV engine not accelerate?
If your CR-V won’t accelerate, but the RPM’s go up it’s usually not going to be an engine related issue. Somehow, the power that your engine is creating is not making it to the rear wheels. This is typically a transmission related issue. Here are the most common cause of acceleration with the RPM’s going up:

What to do if fuel is not getting into pilot jet?
Make sure fuel is getting into carburettor. IF so, make sure it’s going into the Pilot Jet. You can test this via attempting to start the bike, then remove the spark plug.
