Do you need timing mark on Bosch pump?

Do you need timing mark on Bosch pump?

NOTE: The timing mark is not required for Bosch® VE and DP210 used on Tier II Industrial engines. For these engines, vary timing by using the Timing Check procedure. To verify that the fuel injection pump is timed correctly, first check the alignment marks on the pump flange and gear housing.

Is the timing on the injection pump accurate?

The marks on the pump to housing are only accurate if it is the original pump from the factory. Your timing is a few degrees retarded. Turn the injection pump 1/16″ to the passenger side (measured at the pump to housing flange) That’s about 4 deg.

How to check fuel pump injection timing-diesel engine?

Diesel fuel injection pump timing issues are more common in older engines and might be more commonly experienced by owners of old roadsters, tractors or similar engines. If it is an older diesel engine with a mechanical fuel injection pump, you will need to check for the type of crankshafts, pipes, cylinders, gears etc of your model.
