Get the car code read first before guessing or fitting unnecessary bits on it till you get lucky. Check the earth straps, one from battery to bodywork and one underneath from bodywork to gear box. If you don’t have a good electrical return path the car will not start. Hope this helps.

Another thing to try is checking three black relay which have a plastic cover over them where the main fuses are from the positive terminal of battery. If they have any corrosion, try scraping them and spray contacts with WD40.
Why are the headlights on my 07 Clio not turning off?
Hi, can anyone give some advice, headlights on my 07 clio will come on by themselves even when parked up, there is a buzzing noise coming from relay box..battery drained over night, fitted new one today, but problem still there,phoned Renault but very unhelpful.. Fitted a new what?? Battery, relay or fuse box.:idunno: Have you cheked the relays ?
