What cam works best with GT40 heads?
Stock H.O. cam with cobra roller rockers is a great combo with GT40 heads. The H.O. cam has a little better grind when combined with the 1.7 ratio cobra rockers giving you more hp/tq than the cobra cam setup.

I put on GT-40 heads milled .030. 1.7 roller rockers, Explorer intake, Explorer 65 mm Throttle body and a 75mm mass air meter with 24 lb. injectors. Bone stock short block and camshaft. 1 5/8″ shorty headers and a complete Flowmaster 2 1/2″ exhaust with a off road H-pipe and 3.73 gears.

The GT40p heads have the larger intake valve plus smaller 58cc combustion chambers which helps low end torque…and coupled with the larger ports will also breath on the big end. The B cam will be about the same as installing the 1.7 rockers on the stock cam.
