What happens when you go from sea level to 5000 feet?
Climbing from sea level to a max of 5000 and then decending isn’t going to bother you much. Climbing to 5000 and then riding 100 miles at 5000 you might if you aren’t careful about hydration. We do rides here all the time from sea level to 5 to 7000ft and then back down and I don’t see any altitude issues if you are prepared.
