You absolutly DO NOT NEED a bigger truck to safely tow that much weight. Put some air bags on the back, some good E-load range (or higher) tires, and a good trailer brake controller (either the factory one or maxbrake) and your good to go for that much weight and beyond. No need for the F-450 and the commercial insurrance ploicy that goes with it.

What to do if your Ford truck won’t shift?
