Click to expand… I converted my 2000 F350 to a dually (well I’m actually still in the process of the conversion) I still have to paint the bed before I swap the beds out. But I found a dana 80 cheap, and just swapped the axle in. The trucks are essentially the same.
Can a single wheel be converted to a dually?
The rear axle in my 01 f350 dually is a Dana 80 while the SRW axle is a sterling 10.5 so I would think at a minimum you would need to swap the axle, since my truck is only 2wd I cant comment on different the front setup is tho I have done this on my truck it is very easy everthing bolts up:thumb:.

Can you sell a 97 dually for a non dually?
Click to expand… when I sold my 97 dually it had a lower resale value then a non dually of the same quality. you could sell your non dually and buy a dually and actually put some coin in your pocket if you buy the same year/quality of vehicle as the one you have. It’s too bad we don’t live closer.

Is the 2WD front axle the same as the dually?
The trucks are essentially the same. The 2wd front has a different rotor for the dually but I believe it to be the same spindle, and the 4×4 front comes with an adapter on the axle from the factory.
