Do you get a vibration when you accelerate?

I have a 2011 Laredo and while driving under light acceleration I get a vibration around 40 mph and about 2k rpm and then it’ll go away and come back at highway speeds. If I accelerate fast I do not get a vibration. Also the vibration will stop once I left off the gas and the car will coast smoothly.

Why does my van vibrate when I stop accelerating?

I have a van fx4 and when I drive over 50 mph, if I stop accelerating, the vehicle starts vibrating. As I speed it up again the problem disappears… does anyone know about this problem? Check the crossbrace and everything that has to do with the cardan tube and transmission box.

What does a vibration in the engine mean?

A vibration or a noise that depends on engine rpm alone should tell you to look in the engine compartment. Random noises and vibrations that come and go are often a clue that something is loose or broken and is rattling around. Nine out of 10 times, speed-sensitive vibrations are due to an out-of-balance wheel.

What causes cyclic vibration on a 4×4 truck?

Cyclic vibrations can also be caused by excessive driveshaft angle. This may be a problem if somebody has raised or lowered the stock ride height of the vehicle by more than several inches. It’s a common problem on 4×4 trucks that have been raised excessively with a lift kit.

What causes a vibration in a low speed turn?

This axle provides added traction on slippery surfaces, particularly when one wheel is on a poor traction surface. Under normal conditions, the limited-slip axle functions like a standard rear axle. The axle may exhibit a slight noise or vibration during tight turns with low vehicle speed. This is normal behavior and indicates the axle is working.”

When do you feel vibration in your car?

This vibration only happens when driving under heavy acceleration, like when you are approaching the highway trying to merge into the speeding traffic, or on a jackrabbit start from a traffic light. You feel this vibration only when the vehicle is accelerating.
