Why is the interior light not working on my 1995 Ford Ranger?
Ford f150 crewcab, the interior light does not shut off which causes the doors not to lock . This is a security problem for my wife. After calling Ford to report this problem they couldnt help me. Also, a problem in the 1995 Ford ranger.

Door ajar light, interior light, and cargo light stay on has if a door were open when all doors are all closed. If the key is in the ignition , and the ignition is off and the doors are shut, the chime/tone continues to go off.

Re: F 150 DOOR AJAR WILL NOT GO OFF AND INTERIOR LIGHT… If only the door ajar light and interior light is not working it is probably the door ajar switch located on the door latch inside the door. sometimes a little WD40 sprayed towards lower side of the latch will work, frees the piston in the switch. if not the switch must be replaced.

How to fix F 150 door ajar and interior light?
You must feed a new black wire from a good ground on the body thru the door accordion tube and connect it to the larger black wire on the plug that goes to the door lock switch. The door lock, the mirror control, the door ajar light, and the interior light problem will be gone. You can’t post conmments that contain an email address.
