How does the ICP sensor work on an IPR valve?
ICP sensor is a feedback sensor to the ECM . It tells the ECM how much pressure is in the rail . With that information, and info from other sensors as well, the ECM adjusts the pulse width modulated signal to the IPR to control the rail pressure . This process happens repeatedly every few milliseconds.
