Re: 4.8 with deactivation According to the GM Power-Train web site they don’t make a 4.8L with AFM. It does have Variable Valve Timing (VVT) which many confuse for AFM (Active Fuel Management). Btw-The 6.0L was available in the 1500, the 6.2L has replaced it. The local JD dealer has a 1500 with the 6.0L engine.
