One would need to press the voice button and then enter the destination following the voice commands. What could be the reason for a Ford navigation DVD to get stuck in the system?

A faulty navigator antenna could cause this to happen. Check the antenna by performing a reboot. Take out the negative battery cable and wait for five minutes before connecting it.
