How often does water in fuel sensor go out?

In the past 3 weeks I’ve had it back to the dealership 3 times. The 1st time they changed the filters and the light went out but came back on 4 miles from home, the 2nd time they changed out the sensor itself…this time the light went out but came on the next day.
