Reinstall the valve covers and put the truck back together. When you go to crank it back up, it will take 15-30 seconds of solid cranking to fire it up- don’t be alarmed. Don’t stop halfway through, continue to crank until it starts.

Remove the nut to the oil dipstick tube, but instead of pulling the entire tube out, just rotatate it down and out of the way. Mark the position of the valve cover bolts and studs again, and remove. The Fuel Injection Control Module has 10mm bolts holding it down in the back, and 13mm bolts on the front.

Remove the rubber hose that connects the oil fill neck on the passenger side valve cover from the intake tube and valve cover. It should just pull off of both ends. 3. What causes low ICP on a Ford PowerStroke?
1. Refer to other hard start or no start issues below 2. IPR (Injection Pressure Regulator) bad, will cause low ICP. Buy 7.3 IPR Valve 3. IPR o-rings bad, will cause low ICP. Buy IPR O-ring kit for 7.3 Powerstroke 4. Injector o-rings bad, will cause low ICP. Should also show up as black fuel (from oil in fuel) in fuel filter canister.
