Why does my focus se not have parking aid?
Hi! I’m new here, but I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have a 2013 Focus SE that’s out of warranty. Whenever I shift into or past reverse, I get a “Parking Aid Fault – Service Required” alert. However, my car doesn’t have parking aid/sensors. Is this a firmware issue? What should I do? Thanks!

Why is my Ford Focus not parking aid?
When i picked it up they said they had it connected too thier diagnostics but no ” Hard Faults ” registered and they checked the connections and told me the battery was holding a charge . Just wanted too be better informed next i go back . Thanks again . It’s likely to be a loose connection or the GEM Module being faulty.
Is there an issue with my Ford Focus?
The car is on the ramp and they removed the bottom shield on the front fender. They tell me it can be another hour. These sensors seem becoming a problem of the Focus. Anyone else have the same issues with their sensors. It sounds like a wiring issue. haven’t had any issues yet on my 4/11 build focus w/ parking assist package.

What to do if your car parking aid malfunctions?
If you don’t want to be too close to the curb, while in revers, press the brake pedal and stop the car. The system will ask you to put it in drive and it will continue to perform the parking from there. I find the system an excellent one, even though I didn’t test it while snowing – because for obvious reasons. [8)] And it is great for my wife.
