Is the Ford Expedition 6R80 a good transmission?
The 6R80 is actually one of Ford’s better transmissions (when you think of the crap they turned out just a few years ago (4R70/5, 4R100 etc). The manual posted is for a F-150 or 2015+ 6R80 not the unit you have in your ’13.

In the earlier 6R60/75/80 hydraulic system without the one-way clutch, the manual valve can be in any position to apply the low/reverse D clutch (figure 5). The pump supplies line pressure to the D1 and D2 regulator and latch valves.

What should the transmission temperature be in a Ford F150?
Working hard with the torque converter unlocked it should go up to around 205° to 210°. Under severe strain with the torque converter unlocked, such as dragging a heavy trailer up a steep mountain trail at less than 30 MPH, you could see over 210°. The red line is 225°.
