How do you read EBP?

How do you read EBP?

EBP should read Barometric Pressure with your key on (whatever that is for where you are). Operating range is 8-88 psia. Sounds like you are reading the pressure in kilopascals. Operating range – 55-607 kPa.

What is VGT duty cycle?

VGT cycle all depends on tuning. Normal is anywhere between 70-40%. I’ve had some tune writers try and make my turbo spool as soon as I go WOT by making the vanes go to 85% and once boost starts to build the number lowers.

When did Ford stop using the EBP sensor?

03 and early 04, kept the EBP input in years after that. Interesting thing is that even in the model years where the current software ignores the EBP input, a shorted out sensor can still cause issues.

When did the EBP input come out for 04?

This action came out as a flash update in 2006, so if you have an early 04 or an 03 that was never flashed (never had the 06E17 action applied), then you will still use the EBP input as well. Thanks for the info !!! I think I understand now.

What should be the EBP _ G and MGP of a turbocharger?

• Next command the VGT to 0% and record the EBP_G and MGP PIDs. At 85% the EBP_G should be below 7.3 PSI and MGP should be above 0.87 PSI. At 0% the EBP_G should be below 0.73 PSI and MGP should be below 0.45 PSI. • If it is within this range and no compressor wheel to housing contact is present then do not replace turbocharger.

How to test a 6.0lpower strokeengine turbocharger?

• Begin test at 3300 RPM and slowly apply the brake until the engine has slowed to 2400 RPM. • Using WDS, select the PIDs listed below and make a 30 second recording to capture this event. • Review the WDS recording and note the PID values at each of the specified RPM levels.

What’s the normal idle psig on a monitor?

I assume that your monitor is reading gauge then, which would mean that idle at 2-3 psig isn’t off by much. Also, the other reading (uphill) would be 18 psig or 32.7 psia. probably ok also. You should be able to see exactly how to switch units with the monitor or ask the question on the Edge forum (I assume there is one).
