There are two connectors at the steering column, C2231A which is a 6 terminal connector and C2231B which is a 2 terminal connector. In C2231A, pin 1 Yellow/Grey (YE/GY) wire should be battery voltage with key on. In C2231B, the Red wire should be battery voltage at all times, and the Black/Violet (BK/VT) wire should be a good ground.

Is it possible to lose power steering in a Ford?
It’s just going to take a lot more effort. One major concern about Ford’s EPAS is that sometimes when it goes out, it does so without any warning. No dash lights, no chimes, just a sudden loss of steering assist. Driving a car without power steering is totally possible, I’m sure your grandfather would tell you he did it for years.
