Why does my Ford Ranger stall while driving?

I had this same problem with a 2004 ford ranger 4.0 liter by 5 speed manual and went through the fuel pump and filter fuel pump relay the coil pack crank sensor and a bunch of checking grounds. Finally pulled the inertia switch off and the plug was melted and just bypassed it and shes run good since then.

What should I do if my Ford Ranger quits?

to what the problem could be. Check the inertia switch and connector, known problems with them getting hot and quitting until it cools. If you think it is wiring you can always run a new power feed from the relay to the fuel pump and make sure the ground is good.

Are there any stalling problems with Polaris Rangers?

Stalling problems with Rangers. I have been reading a lot of links about this problem Stalling and dying. A lot of advise and a lot of speculation lol. This problem for me is what led me here to the forum. There has been some conversation on this topic here and elsewhere on the net.

Why is my Ranger dying on the side of the road?

Possible Diagnosis: Bad Ignition Control Module (ICM), Bad Fuel Pump, vapor lock on fuel rail, or Catalytic converter clogging up. So as stated above, my ranger was idling roughly and dying after driving it around for a little while, but only on hot days.
