How to Loosen Up a Tight Electrical Socket

Why is my socket not turning off on my new faceplate?

It won’t have anything to do with the plugs adding up to more than 13amps. There is a fuse in the plug to make sure the appliances don’t use anymore than 13amps and will blow if they do. In reality the appliances will very rarely use 13amps.
