The fact that it runs as long as you spray the Quick-Start shows the engine is not getting fuel. Either the computer is not firing the injectors or something is keeping the pressure in the rail way too low. I would go back to the low or no fuel pressure as the first thing to check.

How long can a Ford Ranger go without a battery?
Sometimes the truck can go for a week without a problem and then you try to start it and it clicks twice like a dead battery and other times it keeps cranking and I let go of the key and cranks until I turn the switch back to the off position. I wait about 3-5 minutes and it starts right up.
