Why is the radio volume up on my Dodge Ram?

With this feature enabled, the stereo would adjust the music volume up while accelerating to compensate for the additional vehicle noise, and back down when coming back to a stop when those vehicle noises decrease. This has been around on various cars for a long time now, I’ve never personally cared for it and turn it off.
