2008 Ford Escape heater blower no longer runs in position 1. Works great in positions 2 thru 4. It could be the blower resistor. While I’m not familiar with the 2008 Escape, most resistors are located near the blower motor under the dash on the passenger side. It’ll have a plug with several wires, and usually 2 screws holding it in.
