How does the Ford XR6 calculate air flow?

The XR6’s don’t actually measure the amount of air flowing into the engine as the XR8’s do, rather they calculate the air flow by using a calculation based on Manifold Air Pressure, Air temp, Engine RPM, Throttle position and a thing called the ‘volumetric effiency’ of the engine.

Is the Ford Falcon 6 cylinder engine reliable?

Owner for 13 years. 6 cylinder engine is very reliable but thirsty around town.Has plenty of power for overtaking or towing. Recommend a transmission cooler as the original cooler in the radiator have failed and if water gets into the transmission it’s ruined. The ignition coils don’t seem to last long.
