Why is my Ford Escape in the shop?

My baby is in the shop AGAIN for the BCM failing. Has anyone else had this happen to them and was wondering how common this is. Does it happen alot? This is the 3rd time it is in the shop for this problem. Thank You

When to do PTU service on Ford Escape?

So I got to the end of my 5year 50k powertrain warranty, traded it in on a 2018 Ruby Red Titanium Escape. Wife loves the red after the platinum white. Needless to say i’ll be keeping my “good eye” on the new ptu. Looking to do transmission, PTU and rear diff probably next year.

Can a Ford Escape have a BCM failure?

Yes my escape is a 2014 SE FWD (17,684 miles) its pretty loaded for an SE purchased it brand new Leather heated seats, moonroof , the larger touchscreen and all the mytouch. The BCM failure made itself known by basically geeking out the radio would shut off off and come back on by itself and same with the heater.

Can a Ford Escape not start after battery change?

Yes, the key was in Run with the instrument cluster displaying the same Engine Fault message from my initial post. The LED on the OBDLink was also green. I tried turning the key off then back to Run but the results were the same. I’m not exactly sure what it is the OBD port connects to.
