The low coolant level sensor is in the passenger side of the radiator. Below the radiator cap. It is a square black sensor that snaps into the radiator and held with a clip. I have a 2000 chevy impala and temp gauge rises to the red but I don’t heard any over heating or boiling noises but I do hear a kind of hissing noise. What could it be?
