What was the problem with my Ford F250?
Hubby was installing new radio and in the process disconnected the negative posts on both batteries in our F250 super duty truck. We’ve already had it hooked up to a diagnostic tool and get no errors for it.

How to reset adaptive memory on Ford F-150?
Connect the battery and turn on the key. Reconnect the negative battery cable, and then turn the key on and wait 10 seconds before restarting your truck. You want to wait at least 10 seconds with the key in the “on” position before starting the engine, so that the system can “learn” the powertrain’s stop value. Figure 5.
