The car is prone to electrical problems including a recall for the headlight wiring under the dash, which melts the wiring together (3times)!! With less than 140K kms on the odometer, I have replaced the head gasket, wiring, radiator, water pump, belt tensioner assy, and alternator. This was all within the last 10 months!

2005 Optra 4 door, in Canada is a Daewoo. In the U.S. it is a Suzuki. We got 199000 km out of this car but it cost a lot to keep it on the road, constant overheating issues. Parts had to be GM due to lack of after market availability. It is off to the crusher tomorrow and we will have a few bucks in our jeans.

What kind of performance does a 2005 Optra have?
As far as performance, I am very impressed; great off the line, only complaint is half throttle performance, but if you keep it to the floor, watch out, this little engine really has some pep, makes a nice humming/whistle noise. Looked for turbo, found none, still wondering about the whistle.
