Telford, Shropshire, England. Well it seems the Laser piston reset tool will do the job on the Picanto & i30 on the basis that it was sold as suitable to me by a KIA dealer who stock them & sell them for around £22 as opposed to £80 for the genuine KIA item which does the Picanto & C’eed. Hope this helps others.

Can you use a G clamp on a Kia i30?

Do you need wind back tool for Kia i30?

Yes, ta Surferdude, I knew I’d need a wind-back or re-set tool I just didnt know which one to buy, as none of the examples I viewed on ‘tinterweb actually stated KIA / Hyundai use. The reason the rears have to be wound back for pad replacement is down to the handbrake mechanism basically.
