To open the rear hatch window on the 2017 Ford Expedition push the release button above Your license plate and just to the right of the rear-view camera. Once the lock is released just lift the window up. It is not uncommon for the lock actuator to fail and not allow the window to latch when closed.

36 people found this helpful. if you look on the right side of the rear license plate, up under the lip of the overhang, there is a rubber coated button which will just open the back window without the whole door going up. You can remove the rear passenger door panels while the doors are closed, guess the service manual does not cover that. Use a flashlight to locate the two screws holding the lower panel in place, between the sill plate and bottom door panel, unscrew them.
